The University of Aberdeen WordPress Content Management System utilises the standard WordPress environment. In addition to this, however, there are a number of Content Modules<\/a> that have been created (16 at the time of writing), to provide functionality over and above that found in a standard WordPress environment. The Content Modules, include everything from\u00a0Accordions<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0Galleries<\/a> to\u00a0Slideshows<\/a>, to name but a few, and have been developed to provide the kind of functionality that you may require for your web site, in an accessible, responsive way, that should work well across all devices, from desktops to mobile phones.<\/p>\n

Further, the Content Modules have been designed with current web aesthetics in mind and, as such, should help to provide your site with a contemporary look and feel that will hopefully help your audience to engage with your content.<\/p>\n

Highlight particular sections or areas of interest within your site using Featured Content<\/a>, organise your content using Accordions<\/a>\u00a0or Tabbed Content<\/a>, add\u00a0Map<\/a> content, Embed Content<\/a>\u00a0such as YouTube videos, and aesthetic elements such as\u00a0Background Images<\/a>,\u00a0Galleries<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Slideshows<\/a>.<\/p>\n
