Adult Mental Health Services

As demand for psychological intervention for mild to moderate anxiety and depression grows, we are collaborating with colleagues in the NHS Primary Care Mental Health Service in Aberdeen to contribute to the evaluation of the service. A current focus is on social deprivation, with a longer term aim of helping to develop services which are more accessible and effective for people affected by social deprivation.

As NHS Grampian’s Gender Identity Clinic Service continues to develop, together we are evaluating the impact of GP training in Gender Identity awareness. Other projects are reviewing mental health co-morbidities in users of Gender Identity Services and awareness of Gender Identity Issues in those who do not use services directly.
