Phd project funded by the Energy Institute exploring cognitive bias and risk normalisation within the energy industry
Research within this branch of the APHF covers a broad range of projects across a variety of industries. The work is an amalgam of human factors aspects and psychological theory, designed to explore perceptual and cognitive topics within the applied context of high risk industry.
Currently this work is focused on two main areas:
- Cognitive bias and risk normalisation in the Energy Industry
- Visual search within the context of aviation
