Research

The NTSAg group conducts Applied Psychology research to examine the non-technical skills used by farmers.  This includes research to understand risk perception and management, and the importance of social (communication, teamwork, leadership) and cognitive (situation awareness, decision-making, task management) and personal management (fatigue and stress management) skills to maintain farmer safety.  More recently this research has expanded to include the safety of veterinary surgeons visiting farms.
