German Local Workshops

On 3rd and 4th of June 2019 the German local workshops took place in at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. The workshop started with a presentation of the European Protection Measures Regulation and the European Protection Order Directive in general and in the context of return proceedings under the Brussels IIbis Regulation and the 1980 Hague Conventions. In the following discussion deficits of the European rules were detected. The workshop was attended by representatives of the German Central Authority, specialized family judges and lawyers in the area of cross-border child abduction and child disputes as well as academics and representatives of NGOs.
